The printIQ Core is made up of 8 modules that create a seamless, end-to-end workflow. However with printIQ you also get the option to add an array of extra modules to the Core to create your perfect workflow. This includes a range of third party options that fully integrate with printIQ, removing those integration headaches. Our range of integrated modules are designed to connect to an array of options, from file verification, to VDP, web applications, and even other printers.
To get you started here’s a brief description of the core along with (some) of the extra options that you can add to create the perfect workflow:
printIQ is a web based workflow system that integrates business rules and component inputs such as labour and materials, to provide real-time quoting to an estimator or online client. The data then maps the optimum process path through the factory whilst providing full production, scheduling, inventory, outsource, and dispatch data to the relevant workflow modules.

The Quote Intelligence module differs from traditional estimating software in that it understands the entire production process so it will map out all possible alternatives for the job to pass through the factory.
The Workflow Manager module is a dynamic tool that is used throughout the application to manage every aspect of your business. It is essentially a set of “to do” activities with assigned actions, alerts and updates that creates a transparent information network throughout the business. All information is centralised and accessible to all staff and offers seamless transition of work from one department to the next.
The Factory Manager module provides a logical and easy to use communication framework for your staff to take control of the production process. Ultimately this ensures your staff can manage the production process without reliance on any particular individual, instead using a centralised and structured flow for jobs as they move through the process lifecycle.
The Inventory Manager module is integrated seamlessly with the Quote Intelligence module to deliver a feature rich extension to the estimating and job management process. The module is fully integrated with the other core printIQ modules so that every job is inventory aware. With the Inventory Manager module we make purchasing, invoicing, and reconciliation a seamless and simple process.
The Outsource Manager module provides full tendering functionality within printIQ, allowing users to obtain a range of prices for all outwork in a simple co-ordinated workflow. The module offers the ability to tender each operation, within the job, to multiple suppliers. The suppliers can enter their prices directly into their own automatically generated printIQ supplier portal without any visibility of their competitors.
The Dispatch Manager comes complete with automated actions such as weight verification, multiple split delivery addresses, courier rate integration, and branded box labels, so your staff can easily perform the dispatch process saving both time and money. By creating the link between all the key aspects of the dispatch environment and automating within a common platform.
The Job Track Module identifies milestones as the job travels through the quoting, production, and dispatch lifecycle, allowing complete tracking throughout the entire length of the production cycle. This includes the tracking of the job itself and any of the underlying components, through to scheduling and delivery data. We wrap this up in a great looking interface that you can share with sales staff and customers.
The days of trying to integrate multiple platforms are finally over. With printIQ the integration has already been done.
The IQconnect-Apogee module allows you to connect printIQ directly to your AGFA Apogee Pre- Press System. The module enables you to kick off the prepress processes directly from within printIQ. With IQconnect-Apogee you will have a direct interface that allows you to pass job data and pdf files into your prepress system for pre-flight, layout, or calculating the ideal imposition.
The IQconnect-CHILI Publish module delivers editable template information, Meta data, annotations and artwork files to offer a template option in addition to the standard web2print functionality within printIQ. The IQconnect-CHILI Publish module provides functionalities such as: online document editing, document and asset management, user management, & data connectivity.
The IQconnect-enfocus-SWITCH module provides the framework to build a dedicated workflow to match a range of business configurations. printIQ delivers the artwork and job meta data to Enfocus Switch, preflight, proofing, RIP and email workflows then commence with Switch passing back data to printIQ to keep production boards updated. Communication between the two systems is taken care of via APIs and Switch Configurators.
The IQconnect-Esko module enables printIQ to create a job within Automation Engine & kick it off. We start with preflighting, via Pitstop Server, with printIQ passing data to determine profiles and job specs. Proofing is then handled through a combination of printIQ and WebCenter to deliver soft proofs to customers and manage the approval process for both hard and soft proofs. With the Layout module in place, Automation Engine will take the artwork and imposes it ready for production. In fact all the way through, Automation Engine is pushing updates back to printIQ to confirm preflight, proofing and imposition statuses in a true 2-way communication channel.
The IQconnect-FreeFlow Core module removes costly manual prepress steps, reducing your costs and reducing the time it takes to get jobs through your shop. The key to enhancing productivity in the printing business is automating the process without paying a penalty in time, flexibility or costs. Implementing the IQconnect-FreeFlow Core module into your workflow will allow printIQ to deliver the artwork and job data directly to FreeFlow Core, for imposition and transport through to the DFE (Digital Front End).
The IQconnect-Integrate module is a series of fully documented and comprehensive API’s, that expose many of the workflows in printIQ. Essentially Integrate is the key to the toolkit that allows you to produce your custom integration requirements. At present we have pre-built printIQ CRM integration options for both Hubspot & Zoho and have our APi’s published in Zapier so you can use a third party tool to simplify the integration.
The IQconnect-Link module extends your product offering beyond your own factory walls and into the plants of other printIQ users. IQconnect – Link combines features from the Outsource Manager with SmartSite widgets to allow you to quote across printIQ applications. It uses APIs to connect each instance and then the fundamentals of the Outsource Manager to generate real time pricing and an outsource quote for you to send to your customer.
The IQconnect-Prinergy module allows you to connect printIQ directly to your Prinergy Pre-Press System. We achieve this by integrating directly with your RBA (Rules Based Automation). This allows you to kick off the RBA rule when a quote is approved in printIQ.
The IQconnect XMPie module is an integration layer custom built to support the uStore application. The process is based on a two way API connectivity layer which sees orders transferred in real time. As the job progresses within your factory, printIQ then pushes status updates back to uStore so that your customers can track progress. By using a mapping layer that links information in uStore to information in printIQ, we have avoided the cumbersome approach of having to setup product SKUs in both systems. The added benefit of the integration is the uStore data-syncing option in printIQ which allows users to manage stock levels within the printIQ inventory manager. With this in place printIQ serves as the master inventory tool so that all inventory transactions within printIQ are updated to uStore. This avoids managing inventory in two systems
IQautomated-freight is exactly that, an automated freight quoting and booking process. This module poles the freight provider and pulls in the optimum price in real time. Essentially the automated management tool kicks off as each item is being quoted. A price is pulled into the quote which is held within the printIQ database. Upon completion of the job the automated process kicks-in a second time and books the freight confirming the initial price. IQautomated-freight seeks to reduce costs through automation, minimise workload through fewer touch-points and to improve customer satisfaction by getting it right the first time.
IQgang-Auto Edition – is an addition to the Manual Edition with added functionality to allow the information to be exported as a Batch in xml, ppxml, mxml, or csv format to your chosen imposition program (IMP, Impostrip, Phoenix, Metrix, etc). The batch export will contain all of the individual jobs that will be processed by the ganging software. The ganging software can then be used to create a single, or multiple gang jobs, and return those to printIQ. The import from the imposition program creates a gang job, or jobs, directly in printIQ.
